</colgroup>

The President 2 – Fernando Botero

The President 2 is a 1987 painting by Fernando Botero: a full-figured president in tails with a blue-and-yellow sash and a scroll in his hand stands before bookshelves. We paint our hand-painted study of The President 2 to order on canvas, in oil or acrylic, in 8 sizes from 50 × 70 cm to 150 × 220 cm or in a custom size. Before The President 2 is dispatched, we send you a photo of the finished painting.

What does The President 2 show?

In The President 2 a round man with red hair and a small moustache stands before a green curtain and bookshelves in a tailcoat, white waistcoat and grey trousers, a broad blue-and-yellow presidential sash with a rosette across his chest; he holds a paper scroll in one hand and something small before his chest in the other. Botero painted the man in power solemn and puffed up, which is why The President 2 feels ceremonial, satirical and witty.

How is our hand-painted study of The President 2 made?

Our painters paint the study of The President 2 by hand, with brushstrokes of different thickness, separately for every order. We paint in oil or acrylic, depending on the subject and the size, so the surface of The President 2 has a real paint texture that a print does not have. When The President 2 is finished, we photograph it and send you the photo for approval.

Which size of The President 2 suits your room?

For the wall above a sofa or a sideboard choose The President 2 in 70 × 100 cm, and for a bedroom, hallway or work corner 50 × 70 cm. The President 2 is available in 50 × 70 cm, 60 × 90 cm, 70 × 100 cm, 80 × 120 cm, 90 × 130 cm, 110 × 160 cm, 127 × 185 cm and 150 × 220 cm. The 127 × 185 cm size of The President 2 is the size of the original. A simple rule for The President 2: it should be about two thirds as wide as the furniture below it, with its centre about 150 cm from the floor.

How does The President 2 arrive, and when?

We ship The President 2 rolled in a sturdy tube, stretched on 2.5 cm deep wooden stretcher bars, or framed – you choose when you order. Stretching and framing of The President 2 are done in our workshop in Slovenia. When a size of The President 2 is in stock, it reaches you within 6 working days; a study of The President 2 painted to order reaches you in 15 to 45 days.

Frequently asked questions about The President 2

Is The President 2 a print?

No. Every brushstroke of The President 2 is painted by hand on canvas, so the paint visibly stands up from the surface.

Can I order The President 2 in a size that is not listed?

Yes. We also paint The President 2 in a custom size; enter the width and height you want when you order The President 2.

Is The President 2 a different painting from The President?

Yes, in The President 2 the president stands in his study before books with a scroll in his hand, while in The President he rides a horse among banana leaves.

Is The President 2 a good gift?

The President 2 is a gift for a Botero fan or for anyone who likes political humour. If you are unsure which size of The President 2 to choose, give a gift voucher.

Fernando Botero – The President 2 Year of creation: 1987 Original size: 127 cm x 185 cm Painting style: Expressionism Original technique: Oil on canvas Located: Author ‘s private collection The President 2 – Fernando Botero The President 2 is a 1987 painting by Fernando Botero: a full-figured president […]

[9793
9827,14415,14403,9870,9862,9863
post-85407","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_cat-fernando-botero","product_tag-botero-en","product_tag-hallway-wall-art","product_tag-large-wall-paintings","product_tag-painter","product_tag-reproduction-en","product_tag-reproductions","pa_dimenzija-110-x-160-cm","pa_dimenzija-127-x-185-cm","pa_dimenzija-150-x-220-cm","pa_dimenzija-50-x-70-cm","pa_dimenzija-60-x-90-cm","pa_dimenzija-70-x-100-cm","pa_dimenzija-80-x-120-cm","pa_dimenzija-90-x-130-cm","pa_oblika-vertical","pa_okvir-without-frame","pa_podokvir-without","pa_podokvir-yes","first","onbackorder","purchasable","product-type-variable","has-default-attributes
