Walk Through the Hills – Fernando Botero

Walk Through the Hills is a 1977 painting by Fernando Botero: a full-figured priest in a black cassock with a parasol and rosary walks in green hills. We paint our hand-painted study of Walk Through the Hills to order on canvas, in oil or acrylic, in 8 sizes from 40 × 75 cm to 110 × 200 cm or in a custom size. Before Walk Through the Hills is dispatched, we send you a photo of the finished painting.

What does Walk Through the Hills show?

In Walk Through the Hills a round priest in a long black cassock with a violet sash and a black hat stands on a green meadow, holding a black parasol over his head and a rosary with a cross in his other hand, while soft green hills roll behind him under a grey-blue sky with clouds. Botero painted a priest walking alone in nature with quiet humour, which is why Walk Through the Hills feels calm, friendly and a little comic.

How is our hand-painted study of Walk Through the Hills made?

Our painters paint the study of Walk Through the Hills by hand, with brushstrokes of different thickness, separately for every order. We paint in oil or acrylic, depending on the subject and the size, so the surface of Walk Through the Hills has a real paint texture that a print does not have. When Walk Through the Hills is finished, we photograph it and send you the photo for approval.

Which size of Walk Through the Hills suits your room?

For the wall above a sofa or a sideboard choose Walk Through the Hills in 60 × 110 cm, and for a bedroom, hallway or work corner 40 × 75 cm. Walk Through the Hills is available in 40 × 75 cm, 50 × 90 cm, 60 × 110 cm, 70 × 130 cm, 80 × 150 cm, 90 × 170 cm, 103 × 190 cm and 110 × 200 cm. The 103 × 190 cm size of Walk Through the Hills is the size of the original. A simple rule for Walk Through the Hills: it should be about two thirds as wide as the furniture below it, with its centre about 150 cm from the floor.

How does Walk Through the Hills arrive, and when?

We ship Walk Through the Hills rolled in a sturdy tube, stretched on 2.5 cm deep wooden stretcher bars, or framed – you choose when you order. Stretching and framing of Walk Through the Hills are done in our workshop in Slovenia. When a size of Walk Through the Hills is in stock, it reaches you within 6 working days; a study of Walk Through the Hills painted to order reaches you in 15 to 45 days.

Frequently asked questions about Walk Through the Hills

Is Walk Through the Hills a print?

No. Every brushstroke of Walk Through the Hills is painted by hand on canvas, so the paint visibly stands up from the surface.

Can I order Walk Through the Hills in a size that is not listed?

Yes. We also paint Walk Through the Hills in a custom size; enter the width and height you want when you order Walk Through the Hills.

Does Walk Through the Hills suit a narrow, tall wall?

Yes, the narrow upright format of Walk Through the Hills suits the wall beside a door, a hallway or a stairwell; choose 60 × 110 cm or 80 × 150 cm.

Is Walk Through the Hills a good gift?

Walk Through the Hills is a gift for a priest, a hiker or a Botero fan. If you are unsure which size of Walk Through the Hills to choose, give a gift voucher.

Fernando Botero – Walk through the hills Year of creation: 1977 Original size: 103 cm x 190 cm Painting style: Expressionism Original technique: Oil on canvas Located: Author ‘s private collection Walk Through the Hills – Fernando Botero Walk Through the Hills is a 1977 painting by Fernando […]

[9793
9827,14415,14373,14403,9870,14367,9862,9863
post-85524","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_cat-fernando-botero","product_tag-botero-en","product_tag-hallway-wall-art","product_tag-landscape-paintings","product_tag-large-wall-paintings","product_tag-painter","product_tag-paintings-for-the-bedroom","product_tag-reproduction-en","product_tag-reproductions","pa_dimenzija-103-x-190-cm","pa_dimenzija-110-x-200-cm","pa_dimenzija-40-x-75-cm","pa_dimenzija-50-x-90-cm","pa_dimenzija-60-x-110-cm","pa_dimenzija-70-x-130-cm","pa_dimenzija-80-x-150-cm","pa_dimenzija-90-x-170-cm","pa_oblika-vertical","pa_okvir-without-frame","pa_podokvir-without","pa_podokvir-yes","first","onbackorder","purchasable","product-type-variable","has-default-attributes
