Self-Portrait is a painting by Joan Miró: a face drawn in thick black loops, with two eyes and a yellow patch on an olive-green ground. We paint our hand-painted study of Self-Portrait to order on canvas, in oil or acrylic, in 8 sizes from 40 × 50 cm to 130 × 160 cm or in a custom size. Before Self-Portrait is dispatched, we send you a photo of the finished painting.

Self-Portrait shows large black circles forming the head and eyes, one eye ringed in red, short black hair above and thick black lines below winding around a yellow patch; the background is an olive-green surface covered in tiny drawings. Miró translated his own face into playful signs, which is why Self-Portrait feels cheerful, childlike and mysterious at once.

Our painters paint the study of Self-Portrait by hand, with brushstrokes of different thickness, separately for every order. We paint in oil or acrylic, depending on the subject and the size, so the surface of Self-Portrait has a real paint texture that a print does not have. When Self-Portrait is finished, we photograph it and send you the photo for approval.
