Head is a painting by Fernando Botero: a large, round woman’s face with a pearl necklace, red earrings and a small pursed mouth. We paint our hand-painted study of Head to order on canvas, in oil or acrylic, in 8 sizes from 27 × 35 cm to 130 × 170 cm or in a custom size. Before Head is dispatched, we send you a photo of the finished painting.

In Head a round, rosy woman’s face with small brown eyes, a little nose and pursed red lips fills almost the whole canvas; her dark hair is combed to one side, and she wears a pearl necklace and a violet dress with a red edge. With enlarged forms and tiny features Botero created his recognisable style, which is why Head feels serious and witty at once.

Our painters paint the study of Head by hand, with brushstrokes of different thickness, separately for every order. We paint in oil or acrylic, depending on the subject and the size, so the surface of Head has a real paint texture that a print does not have. When Head is finished, we photograph it and send you the photo for approval.

For the wall above a sofa or a sideboard choose Head in 80 × 110 cm, and for a bedroom, hallway or work corner 27 × 35 cm.
