Wall painting on canvas by Gustav Klimt – The Kiss, a sensual depiction of the vortex of love, which represents the peak of Klimt’s golden period, in which he returned to his father’s craft and turned to Byzantine two-dimensional and inorganically rigid sacral art, today is considered the most famous work of this artist. The painting is dominated by intellectual and literary symbolism, the line is strict, stylized, while the color mainly plays a decorative role. The oil on canvas The Kiss was also the central exhibit of the Kunstchau, an exhibition of the highlights of Viennese Art Nouveau in 1908.
