No painting in this category exists in more than one copy – what you buy is one-of-a-kind. What an original painting is, and how it differs from a reproduction
An original painting is an independent work: the motif, the composition and the execution are the artist’s own. A reproduction, by contrast, recreates a known work by another painter, and a print is simply a printed copy. An original carries the depth of the paint, the trace of the brush and the decisions the artist made only once – which is why it holds a collectible and aesthetic value that mass-produced wall decoration cannot reach.

You choose a painting in this category, view it in the frame of your choice with the 3D preview before buying, and receive a photograph for approval before delivery. Every original is stretched on a stretcher frame, ready to hang, and delivered carefully protected to your address. If you want an original work of your own idea – a portrait, a landscape or a motif of your choosing – we will paint it on commission.
