Roberto Budicin was born in 1980 in Trieste. As a student of Walter Falzari and his father Sergio, a wildlife painter, he began studying the masters of the past at a young age. He started with Titian, then Velázquez, and later nineteenth-century painters such as John Sargent, Joaquin Sorolla, and Anders Zorn. For many years, Budicin experimented with techniques and materials to achieve the nuances, effects, and harmonies that characterize his paintings.

Between 2007 and 2011, he began exhibiting his work in group exhibitions. Aware of the strong painting tradition of his hometown, he decided to devote himself entirely to the craft of landscape and portrait painting. He finds inspiration in Trieste: from city views overlooking the sea and local beaches to the forests and countryside of the plateau. Additionally, the mountains and nearby Venice complete the range of motifs he most enjoys depicting in his works.
