Paul Cézanne spent his last years at the Jas de Bouffan estate near Aix en Provence. He bought the estate together with his father in 1859. This is also where a series of paintings with the motif of the estate, the Provençal landscape with slender trees and the Mont Sainte-Victoire mountain were created, through the depictions of which we can follow the artist’s development.
