The light tones and quick strokes of the brush on the oil on canvas of The House of Père Lacroix in Auversreveal the influence of Pissarro. The green and yellow contrasts in the foreground together with the vertical multicolored brush strokes create a reflection in the water. The oil on canvas was created in the village of Auvers, not far from Pissarro’s home, where the two artists often worked together between 1873 and 1874.
