The painting Model Facing Front II is one of four studies for the larger oil on canvas The Models. In two versions, where the model is painted from the front, the painter devotes himself to the study of this extremely simple pose. In the present image, the model tilts her head slightly, and the center of gravity of the body is placed on the back leg, with the other leg approaching the viewer’s space. The pose is thus more dynamic.
