In this painting, the dense tree canopy on the right side of the canvas appears flat and two-dimensional. The painter was much more interested in the placement of small dots that neatly represent foliage on a green surface. There are many elements in the painting that do not seem logical – and this is precisely where the charm of the painting is hidden, which is painted with an almost childlike simplicity and enthusiasm.
