In the painting The Hungry Lion, the artist depicted a scene from the jungle. Dense green growth illuminates the red setting sun. In the foreground of the painting, the lion bit into the neck of the antelope. Other animals can be seen in the undergrowth: a panther follows the scene from the right side; from the background in the center of the painting stares an owl holding a bloody piece of meat in its beak; on her left is another bird; likewise on the left we can perceive the dark outline of a primate with sparkling eyes.
