Joy I – rings glowing around a tree
Wall art sets concentric circles glowing across three canvases in red, orange, blue and turquoise, as though the room had filled with rings of light. Technique & Texture
Every hoop is painted by hand, circle after circle, with visible breaks and an uneven thickness of paint. The colours do not mix between hoops but stand side by side, which is what keeps the transitions sharp. The ground between the circles is filled with short strokes in complementary tones.

The Motif
The left canvas is warm, in red and orange; the right cold, in blue and turquoise; the middle carries the bright core and the tree. The rings vary in size and overlap, with smaller ones filling the gaps between the larger. The branches reach out from the centre to both sides and stitch the warm and the cold halves together.

The colours are saturated, so it belongs in a room that can take a real accent.
