Our mission
We want to offer our customers as friendly and excellent service as possible with first-class art paintings, friendly prices and a wide range in offer.
Our Vision
To become the leading specialized online gallery selling hand-painted paintings in the region.
How your painting is made
Motif and study
You choose a motif from our range or send us your own. The painter prepares a study in the chosen size and palette; for reproductions from the original, for commissions from your photographs and wishes.
Painting
The painting is built up in oil or acrylic on canvas, with brush and palette knife. Depending on the motif and the size it takes from a few days to a few weeks – layered paint and brushwork need their time.
Drying
Oil paints dry slowly; we give the painting the time its layers need to harden, because only then do the colours keep their depth and durability.
Photograph and approval
We photograph the finished painting and send you the photo for approval. On request we adjust it – colours, details – and ship only once you approve.
Stretching and delivery
We stretch the painting on a wooden stretcher, add a frame of your choice from the 3D preview if you wish, protect it carefully and deliver it to your address, ready to hang.

Team
We are an experienced and dedicated team that has been taking care of the smooth operation and development of this online gallery since 2009.

Frequently asked questions
Are your paintings really hand-painted?
Yes, every one. Nothing in our range is a print – each painting is painted by an artist with a brush on canvas. That is why every painting has its own texture, brushwork and character.
Who paints your paintings?
We work with experienced painters specialising in reproductions and original work – among them Roberto Budicin and Aleks M., whose pages you will find on our site.
How long does a painting take?
Usually two to six weeks, depending on the motif, the technique and the size. Because we paint it specially for you, we take the time the work needs – and keep you posted as it progresses.
Where can I find you?
Our workshop and gallery are in Slovenia (Zgornje Bitnje near Kranj), and we ship orders across Europe. Write to us at info@svetslik.si.
