Are your paintings really hand-painted?
Yes, all of them. No painting in our range is a print – each one is painted by a painter with a brush on canvas. That is why every painting has its own texture, brushstrokes and character.
Who paints your paintings?
Every painting is painted by an experienced painter who specialises in reproductions and original work – with a brush, in oil or acrylic on canvas.
How long do painting and delivery take?
The approximate delivery time is up to 6 working days from order confirmation for paintings in stock, and 15–45 working days for a painting we paint for you in a catalogue size. For non-standard sizes we confirm the time with the quote. All times are in our shipping policy.
Where can I find you?
Our office is in Zgornje Bitnje (4209 Žabnica), our framing and pickup workshop in Škofja Loka, and our gallery with example paintings in Ljubljana. We ship across Slovenia and abroad. Write to us at info@svetslik.si.
Can I order a painting in another size?
Yes. We paint sizes that are not in our range to a custom quote – write to us at info@svetslik.si and we will confirm the painting time with the quote. By law, paintings made to your exact instructions in non-standard sizes cannot be returned.
In what form will I receive the painting?
You can order it as unstretched canvas, stretched on a stretcher, or framed. You choose the frame in the 3D preview on the product page; framing is always optional.
Where do you ship and what does delivery cost?
Within Slovenia we ship with Pošta Slovenije (a single-panel painting on a stretcher: €7); abroad with DHL, UPS, DPD or GLS – among others to Croatia, Italy, Austria, Hungary and Germany (a single-panel painting on a stretcher: €15). You see the exact cost at checkout; orders within Slovenia can also be collected in person free of charge.
How can I pay?
By bank transfer against a pro-forma invoice, with PayPal, by credit or debit card, with Revolut or in cryptocurrency; within Slovenia also cash on delivery with Pošta Slovenije.
Can I return a painting?
Yes. You can withdraw from the purchase of paintings from our standard range in catalogue sizes within 14 days of receipt and receive a full refund of the purchase price. Commissions and portraits, and paintings made to your exact instructions in non-standard sizes, are excluded. All details are in our returns policy.
How do I look after the painting?
Oil paintings are less prone to fading than other kinds of painting and can last for centuries when protected from light, humidity and swings in temperature. So hang the painting away from direct sun and damp rooms.
