Autumn Rain – leaves at the edge, rain across the middle
Yellow-orange leaf confetti and vertical rain on deep navy-grey: the leaves are not scattered evenly but press against the upper band, densest at the upper left, and cascade down the left edge to two thirds of the height.
Technique & Texture
A rain curtain – long vertical white-silver strokes – falls through the navy middle and the right side, and in it, left of centre, floats a small white hook, like a bird in a downpour. This is a hand-painted work of art – the leaves carry black dots and real texture.
The Motif
The lower quarter brightens into misty white with fine spray, while the upper right corner stays pale and sparsely settled – the rain has its space, the leaves have theirs. Warm and cool do not mix; they coexist.
