Description

Turquoise Coast – horizon, foam and a headland in mist
A turquoise sea-and-sky field cut across the middle by a dark teal horizon band: its edges torn, heaviest right of centre, and just beneath it runs a white foamy seam with spatter – waves breaking in the distance.
Technique & Texture
From the upper left edge a grey-violet slope descends toward the band – a headland or ridge that gives the scene depth. This is a hand-painted work of art – a fine white spray is scattered across the whole canvas, densest at the upper right and around the horizon, with fine vertical dry brushing.
The Motif
The lower half stays open turquoise with a soft grey-violet cloud patch on the left and beige mists along the lower centre – the shallows the coast only promises. The horizon sits slightly below centre, so the sky gets more room than the sea.
Styling & Placement
A refreshing modern painting for bathrooms, bedrooms and living rooms; the turquoise brings the sea, and the dark band makes sure the eye always finds the horizon – coastal wall art that opens the room.
