Rainbow Tree – a tree of life in the spectrum

Technique & Texture
The leaves are thumb-sized petal prints with raised edges, and single ones drift off the canopy. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – a dark twisted trunk rises in an S-curve right of centre, its bark glinting with gold and umber reflections.
The Motif
The branches reach both edges, and at the bottom a root flare spreads; colour-matched drips fall vertically from the canopy – violet and blue at the left, green and gold at the centre, red at the right. A tree of life in the full spectrum, where the colour drips bind the canopy to the warm cream earth.
