Description

White Meditation – vertical rain by a dark anchor
White and pale-grey vertical impasto strokes falling like rain or drawn curtains, anchored by one graphite pillar at the right edge, converging into a blue-grey base: across the full height run vertical knife pulls in white and silver-grey, raised ridges catching the light.
Technique & Texture
The strokes are brightest in the upper left quadrant, leaning and overlapping like the folds of a curtain. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – the dark graphite pillar at the right edge drags downward in dry trickles, the anchor of the whole composition.
The Motif
The lower fifth tips into a pale blue-grey like standing water, and just above it lies a grey speckled band of grit; at the upper corners the brown canvas ground peeks through. A white, grey and graphite meditation, where the flowing lines read like rain or the incisions of time.
Styling & Placement
A meditative decorative painting for bedrooms, living rooms and offices; the white light calms, the graphite anchor gives the composition weight. Wall art for quiet, focused spaces.
