This painting represents the 1st Chakra – the root or base chakra. It is located at the base of the spine and governs the physical dimensions, helping us to feel grounded, safe and secure. It is also the centre for the ‘fight or flight’ feeling and if this is balanced correctly, a sense of groundedness and security takes over. It vibrates like our adrenal glands and regulates the kidneys and spine, for the spine is the grounding foundation of our body, the secure element to which it connects. The predominant colour is red.
