Description

Sand Planes – architecture in sand tones
Soft-edged architectural planes in sand tones – a large rounded white slab, khaki columns and a small white arch – over terracotta and mint at the bottom: the large rounded white slab commands the centre-left, and a khaki sand column stands upper right beside a white tent at the right edge.
Technique & Texture
A small white arch, door-like, stands at the right middle before an olive-gold band, a slate blue-grey wedge is at the upper left under a black chip in the corner, and greige planes lie at the left middle. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – the forms flow into one another without sharp edges, softly.
The Motif
A terracotta-orange block lies at the lower left, and a small sage-mint chip rests in the lower right corner; a white band stretches diagonally across the lower right. A gentle architecture of sand planes, where the arch becomes the painting’s most figurative event.
Styling & Placement
A calm abstract painting for living rooms, bedrooms and offices; the sand tones soothe, the terracotta block warms. Wall art for spaces with a natural, Mediterranean character.
