Description
Stories II – Windows into Memory on a Textured Wall
A collage-like abstraction with an archaeological mood: scattered across a heavily textured field are eight to ten dark-rimmed rectangular frames – like windows or notes pinned to an old wall, each with its own story. The portrait format heightens the feeling of a wall that keeps memories.
Technique & Texture
Creamy white impasto masses lie over turquoise-blue tones, strongest along the left edge, while olive, rust, and brown zones interweave between them with stucco texture, spatter, and lace-like crackle. It is a hand-painted artistic painting – the artist framed each window individually, with its own stroke.
The Motif
Each frame carries its own world: the upper left sits on a sky-blue patch, the upper right pair on an ochre-amber field, at the lower centre stands a blue square with a pale inner panel, and at the lower right a dark blue square with a silver core – the shiniest event of the painting. A small, ladder-like mark at the lower left acts as a quiet signature.
Styling & Placement
Wall art for curious eyes – living rooms, studies, hallways, and offices where a guest takes time to explore. Its earthy tones connect beautifully with wood and natural materials.
