Waterfalls – Fernando Botero
Waterfalls is a 1999 painting by Fernando Botero: a heap of big round grey boulders with white waterfalls pouring between them and a tiny red figure below. What does Waterfalls show?
In Waterfalls round, smooth grey and violet stones fill the whole surface, white curtains of water fall between them in several steps, dark green moss grows in the cracks, and a small red figure lies like a dot at the lower right.
