Why hand-painted, not a print

Our version is not a print. The canvas is small and densely painted, so the details sit close together here: the easel, the hand with the brush, the growth behind him. Print loses that density first – the screen does not separate two neighbouring strokes, and the garden behind the painter turns into one uniform green.
