The bedroom is where you rest, so calm paintings work best there: landscapes, flowers, the sea and abstracts in soft blues, greens and sand tones. These are the paintings buyers most often choose for above the bed or the wall opposite. Each one is hand-painted on canvas.
How to choose
- Size: a painting above the bed should be about two thirds of the bed’s width. Above a double bed, one landscape-format painting or a two-panel piece works well.
- Colours: calm, cool or natural tones relax; strong red and very dark paintings make the room restless.
- Height: hang the bottom edge 20 to 30 cm above the headboard.
Frequently asked questions
What paintings suit a bedroom?
The most popular are landscapes, flowers, the sea and soft abstract paintings in calm colours. What matters most is that the subject calms you.
How big should a painting above the bed be?
About two thirds of the bed’s width. Each painting lists the sizes you can choose from.
One large painting or several small ones?
Above the bed, a single landscape-format painting is the calmest choice. A two-panel or multi-panel painting fills a wide wall.
Does the painting arrive ready to hang?
Yes, if you order it stretched or framed. A rolled painting can be stretched or framed later.
Every painting is hand-painted on canvas, in oil or acrylic depending on the piece. Most are painted to order, and some are in stock. Before dispatch we send you a photo of the finished painting. You receive it rolled, stretched on a 2.5 cm stretcher or framed; stretching and framing are done in our workshop in Slovenia.
