Mary with Jesus 1 shows Mary in a red dress, blue mantle and white veil, holding the infant Jesus with a golden halo, against a dark brown background. How is the Mary with Jesus 1 painting made?
Mary with Jesus 1 is hand-painted by our painters with a brush. The dark brown background comes first, then Mary’s red dress, blue mantle and white veil, and last the faces, the hands and the Child’s golden halo. Because the faces and folds are shaped by hand, every Mary with Jesus 1 painting comes out a little different. When it is finished, we send you a photograph of Mary with Jesus 1 to approve, then ship it.
Rolled, stretched or framed?
We ship Mary with Jesus 1 the way you choose: rolled, stretched on a 2.5 cm deep wooden stretcher, or framed. In our workshop in Slovenia we stretch Mary with Jesus 1 and frame it on request. Stretched, it arrives ready to hang; rolled makes sense when a framer near you will frame Mary with Jesus 1. A gold or dark wooden frame suits the classic image of Mary and the Child.
