Red and Brown is a 1957 abstract painting by Mark Rothko: a large dark brown rectangle above a narrow red field on a red ground. We paint our hand-painted study of Red and Brown to order on canvas, in oil or acrylic, in 10 sizes from 38 × 60 cm to 125 × 200 cm or in a custom size. Red and Brown shows a large, softly edged dark brown-violet rectangle at the top and a lower, lighter red field below, both on a warm, deep red ground. With dark, glowing tones Rothko created a serious, gathered mood, which is why Red and Brown feels warm, deep and meditative.
