Vortex: a modern painting in five panels
The painting Vortex shows a red swirl spinning out from a pale gold centre on the middle panel across the five canvases, in curved strokes edged with white and black. The red ground darkens almost to black towards the outer edges. For a sofa of about 255 cm, choose the Vortex set in 170 x 110 cm, about two thirds of its width, and for a bed of about 195 cm choose 130 x 80 cm.
The Vortex set comes in 2 sizes, both totals of all five canvases: 170 x 110 cm is two panels of 40 x 60 cm, two of 30 x 90 cm and one of 30 x 110 cm. The stretcher is in the price, so the five panels arrive stretched and ready to hang. Hang the panels from the middle one outwards with equal gaps. Delivery takes 6 days for 170 x 110 cm and 15–45 days for 130 x 80 cm. The swirl and its red ground are hand-painted, so it is not a print.
