Diego Rivera – Mother’s Helper
Mother’s Helper – Diego Rivera
Mother’s Helper is a painting by Diego Rivera: a girl helping her mother sell flowers, in warm, deep colours. We paint our hand-painted study of Mother’s Helper to order on canvas, in oil or acrylic, in 8 sizes from 40 × 30 cm to 150 × 100 cm or in a custom size. Before Mother’s Helper is dispatched, we send you a photo of the finished painting.
What does Mother’s Helper show?
Mother’s Helper shows a girl in a green blouse and a pink skirt with white dots handing an orange bouquet to a woman in a blue shawl who sits among flowers; the background is dark blue and violet, and the blossoms glow orange and yellow. Rivera painted Mexican children and mothers with tenderness, which is why Mother’s Helper feels warm, calm and touching.
How is our hand-painted study of Mother’s Helper made?
Our painters paint the study of Mother’s Helper by hand, with brushstrokes of different thickness, separately for every order. We paint in oil or acrylic, depending on the subject and the size, so the surface of Mother’s Helper has a real paint texture that a print does not have. When Mother’s Helper is finished, we photograph it and send you the photo for approval.
Which size of Mother’s Helper suits your room?
For the wall above a sofa or a sideboard choose Mother’s Helper in 120 × 80 cm, and for a bedroom, hallway or work corner 40 × 30 cm. Mother’s Helper is available in 40 × 30 cm, 50 × 40 cm, 60 × 40 cm, 70 × 50 cm, 80 × 60 cm, 90 × 60 cm, 120 × 80 cm and 150 × 100 cm. A simple rule for Mother’s Helper: it should be about two thirds as wide as the furniture below it, with its centre about 150 cm from the floor.
How does Mother’s Helper arrive, and when?
We ship Mother’s Helper rolled in a sturdy tube, stretched on 2.5 cm deep wooden stretcher bars, or framed – you choose when you order. Stretching and framing of Mother’s Helper are done in our workshop in Slovenia. The 60 × 40 cm size of Mother’s Helper is in stock and reaches you within 6 working days; in the other sizes we paint the study of Mother’s Helper to order and you receive it in 15 to 45 days.
