What does Constellation: Awakening at Dawn show?
In Constellation: Awakening at Dawn black dots, red, yellow and green shapes, stars, crescent moons and open eyes float across the whole field, linked by thin black lines like constellations in the sky, on a softly mottled, greenish-grey ground. Miró painted the original in gouache in the war year of 1941 as part of his Constellations series, which is why Constellation: Awakening at Dawn feels like a night sky full of playful signs.
How is our hand-painted study of Constellation: Awakening at Dawn made?
Our painters paint the study of Constellation: Awakening at Dawn by hand, with brushstrokes of different thickness, separately for every order. We paint in oil or acrylic, depending on the subject and the size, so the surface of Constellation: Awakening at Dawn has a real paint texture that a print does not have. When Constellation: Awakening at Dawn is finished, we photograph it and send you the photo for approval.
