The painting Luncheon Of The Boating Party is one of Renoir’s more famous oil paintings. The painting was bought by Duncan Phillips in 1923 for EUR 90,000, and it is currently exhibited in his collection in Washington, USA.
 
In the painting, the painter depicted his friends having fun on the balcony of the Maison Fournaise residence on the Seine River in France. Also in the painting is Renoir’s later wife, Aline Charigot, who is depicted in the foreground of the canvas playing with a small dog.
