Power – a burst of black and red
Wall art sends a burst of black strokes and red fields across three square canvases as one horizontal shove. A white light opens upward out of the middle, while a calm sand-coloured ground stays below. There is no motif to recognise – the surface reads as a record of movement and force.
Technique & Texture
The black is laid in dry, torn strokes that break into separate droplets at the edges. The red is poured in broad, soft fields and covered by the black in places. Over all of it, fine and dark threads are drawn with a thin tip and twist into loops. The white is spattered in minute dots and reads as raised dust.
The Motif
The middle canvas holds the densest core of the burst, the two flanking ones the flung fragments, which thin out towards the outer edges. A single horizontal axis runs through all three fields, which is why the work holds together even when the canvases are hung with gaps. Fine gold-brown dots are scattered along the lower edge.
Styling & Placement
The grey-beige ground makes the whole surprisingly calm despite the violence of the gesture. It works as a decorative painting precisely because a muted palette keeps that force in hand: an office, a meeting room, a reception, beside black metal, glass and concrete.
