Description
Violet Burst – pink and mint in movement
Abstract painting fans pink, mint and blue-green strokes across a square canvas until they meet in a bright core at the middle — modern painting in which the impression left is pure movement and light.
Technique and texture
The strokes are drawn with a wide blade and a brush, one over another with no waiting for drying, so the colours mix themselves where they meet. The white drops were thrown from a distance and left elongated traces where they landed. The surface is mostly smooth, with a few thicker places where the paint gathered.
The motif
The bright core lies slightly above the middle and the movement goes outward from it in every direction. The darker edges act as a frame that keeps the burst inside the canvas — at the left and right the colours deepen into dark blue and violet. Nothing settles into an object, so what is left to read is speed, and thin flung lines are scattered over all of it.
Setting and placement
A square crop and a light palette mean this works on its own and needs no neighbouring work. Above a sofa or a bed in a neutral room it brings colour without weight.

Violet Burst over a sofa, bed or sideboard
Violet Burst comes in 14 square sizes, from 40 x 40 to 180 x 180 cm. Let the pink and mint strokes around the bright core fill about two thirds of the furniture width: over a 200 cm sofa go for 130 x 130 or 140 x 140 cm, above a bed 160–180 cm wide the pink core sits well at 110 x 110 or 120 x 120 cm, over a 150 cm sideboard 100 x 100 cm, and in a hallway 50 x 50 or 60 x 60 cm.
Pick YES under Stretcher and the canvas with its white drops arrives stretched on a wooden stretcher, ready to hang. A frame is optional: for Violet Burst the Frame menu opens at Without frame. Delivery takes 15–45 days. The wide-blade strokes were mixed wet, one over another, so Violet Burst is hand-painted and not a print.
