Description
Geode – an agate cross-section in ice blue
A cross-section of agate or geode across the whole canvas: a pale ice-blue crystal pool, ringed by a crusted band of gold flakes, and around it terracotta, white and grey turn in concentric mineral bands – luxurious geology.
Technique & Texture
The pale blue pool fills the centre diagonally, speckled with clear crystal chips, its shape an irregular arrowhead pointing up to the right. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – the crusted gold band fully encircles the pool, and the crystal chips sit inside it.
The Motif
Beyond the gold band follows a white-silver halo, then a rust-terracotta band strongest at the upper left and lower right, and a hammered smooth gold leaf along the top and right edges; the outermost bands are blue-grey and white, with thin gold threads in the corners. A cut through stone, where crystal and gold meet in circles.
Styling & Placement
A luxurious abstract painting for living rooms, bedrooms and offices; the ice blue calms, the gold band adds shine. Wall art for those who love nature and luxury at once.

Geode for a narrow or tall wall
Geode is painted on an upright canvas in 16 sizes, from 40 x 63 to 200 x 319 cm. A narrow wall by a window needs only 50 x 79 cm, a console or round side table 60 x 95 cm, the space beside a bed 70 x 111 cm, a hallway 80 x 127 cm, and a stairwell 100 x 159 or 120 x 191 cm. In the photograph Geode hangs in a thin gold frame on a grey wall above a round black marble table.
Choose YES in the Stretcher menu and the ice-blue crystal pool arrives on a wooden stretcher, ready to hang. The frame for Geode is chosen separately in the Frame menu, which begins at Without frame. Delivery of Geode takes 15–45 days. The gold flakes around the pool are hand-painted in a thick crust, so this painting is not a print.
Geode: answers before you buy
Which size of Geode suits a round side table?
Over a table about 90 cm across take 60 x 95 cm, so the gold band stays within its width.
Is the gold frame included with Geode?
No, for Geode the Frame menu starts at Without frame, and a thin gold frame is added only if you want it.
Is Geode a print?
No, the ice-blue pool, the gold flakes and the terracotta bands are painted by hand on the canvas.
Can I order Geode in a size outside the 16 listed?
Yes, the agate cross-section with its gold band can be painted as a made-to-order painting in your size.
