Description

Turquoise Layers – waves, rain and one dense lens
Soft horizontal turquoise gradients float across a white-cream ground like layers of a shallow sea: pale wavy bands across the full width, a second softer band in the upper sixth, and just above the centre the colour condenses into a dark teal lens left of centre – the concentrated depth of the ocean.
Technique & Texture
Across the whole canvas run thin vertical scratched lines like rain or the threads of a weave, gently combing the soft gradients. This is a hand-painted painting – the lens is not a stain but the densest layer, the one the gradients build toward.
The Motif
Between the layers run rows of tiny dark dots like Morse code – the strongest row beneath the lens, two more in the upper fifth – while the lower fifth of the canvas warms into a grey-beige sandy shore on which the sea runs out.
Styling & Placement
Contemplative wall art for bedrooms, bathrooms and quiet offices; the misty turquoise veils calm like a view over shallows, and the sand at the bottom grounds the painting.
