Description
Golden Peaks – a city in the mist
A wide silver-grey mist with a central row of gold peaks rising and falling like a city skyline: a broken horizontal chain of gold clusters runs through the middle, each cluster a jagged flame or peak, and between them rise smoky spires.
Technique & Texture
Above each gold cluster a taupe-umber smoky spire climbs toward the top, tallest right of centre and at the far left, while below the chain vertical drip trails descend into the pale ground. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – the golden tongues are laid from gold leaf and light up in raking light.
The Motif
The upper and lower bands stay calm, silver-grey with barely visible blue hints – a mist from which a golden city grows. The peaks sit in a band at mid-height, with smoke above and drips below.
Styling & Placement
An atmospheric modern painting for living rooms, offices and dining rooms; the silver calms, the gold lends the room a noble glow. Wall art on canvas for walls that love soft light.

Golden Peaks over a sofa, bed or dining table
Golden Peaks is painted in 16 landscape sizes, from 60 x 35 to 320 x 180 cm. Let the canvas with its chain of gold peaks in silver-grey mist span roughly two thirds of the furniture width: 130 x 72 cm over a 200 cm sofa, 100 x 60 cm above a 160 cm bed, and 120 x 67 cm over a 180 cm dining table. For a long hallway choose 180 x 100 cm, and for a large lobby wall 240 x 135 cm.
If you choose YES under Stretcher, the silver and gold canvas arrives on a wooden stretcher and can go straight onto the wall. A frame for Golden Peaks is optional, and the Frame menu starts at “Without frame”. Delivery takes 15–45 days. In the photograph the painting sits in a thin gold frame on a grey plank wall, above two leather armchairs and a small round table. The golden tongues are laid from leaf gold and hand-painted, so Golden Peaks is not a print.
