Wall art paves the lower half of the canvas with wet ground and lets the lights stretch down it into long vertical reflections — abstract painting at arm’s length, a street only once you step back.
Technique and texture
Every mark is a short flat tile of paint laid with a blade, and nowhere do two of them fuse. The reflections in the paving were drawn straight downward and run longer than the things they mirror. The canopies are made of small coloured cubes with the dark ground left visible between them.
The motif
Two trunks rise through the scene and a fourth element, a third trunk at the right edge, cuts its canopy in two. A small dark figure walks between them under an umbrella, turned away, so it stays without a face and without a story. The left side is built and bright with windows, the right is wooded and darker.
Setting and placement
A surface this densely tiled needs distance before it resolves, which makes it a poor choice for a narrow passage and a good one for a long view. Above a seating group, or at the end of a hallway, it has the room it needs.
