Technique & Texture

The Motif
High on the right, above the mast, floats a white moon with a soft halo, while right of centre a long, clear gold-white reflection of light stretches from the horizon to the lower edge of the water. The boat’s dark hull with its white waterline and small reflection beneath it is the only solid form in a world of light and colour.
