Tree in the Night: three canvases with a black tree

Tree in the Night is one bare black tree painted across three canvases that hang side by side in a row. The menu sizes describe the whole set, width first; each panel is a third as wide and just as tall. The 90 x 40 cm set has panels 30 cm wide and 40 cm tall; 120 x 50 cm, panels 40 cm wide and 50 cm tall; 150 x 70 cm, 50 cm wide and 70 cm tall; 180 x 80 cm, 60 cm wide and 80 cm tall; 200 x 90 cm, about 67 cm wide and 90 cm tall; 220 x 100 cm, about 73 cm wide and 100 cm tall; 235 x 110 cm, about 78 cm wide and 110 cm tall; 255 x 115 cm, 85 cm wide and 115 cm tall; 270 x 125 cm, 90 cm wide and 125 cm tall; and 285 x 130 cm, 95 cm wide and 130 cm tall.

90 x 40 cm sits well above a desk or in a hallway. Over a 180 cm bed, choose 120 x 50 cm, and over a 225 cm sofa, 150 x 70 cm, about two thirds of its width. From 220 x 100 cm up, the tree needs a long living-room wall, an open-plan space or the wall above a big corner sofa.

The first photograph shows the three canvases in the studio, the second photograph the same set from the side. The stretcher is included in the price of Tree in the Night, so the panels arrive stretched and ready to hang. Hang them with equal gaps from the middle panel out, so the branches line up. Delivery takes 15–45 days. The black tree and the white-grey relief ground are hand-painted, so this painting is not a print.
