Summer Peak – an alpine summit in a colour explosion
An alpine summit painted with a palette knife in an extreme one-to-two upright format – a glowing peak, blue rock, a gorge with a waterfall, blooming green meadows and a red foreground edge: the peak above glows yellow-orange at its tip, ringed by blue-violet shadow facets and white mist, with the white of the sky in the very corners.
Technique & Texture
Below it the body of the rock spreads down in pale-blue and steel-blue knife facets, and lower still a dark gorge carries a teal tongue of water falling over black rock like a waterfall. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – the knife layers are thick and real.
The Motif
Vivid green slopes surround the centre, an orange-red cluster of flowers is at the left middle, pink-red blooms in the lower centre with blue accents, and across the very bottom runs a red band of foreground flowers in shadow. Green planes below, bluish mountains in the middle and a glowing peak above each want their own colour – a vertical colour explosion.

Summer Peak is painted in 13 sizes, from 60 x 30 to 180 x 360 cm: eight upright in a one-to-two ratio and five landscape. Upright, the alpine summit gains height – 70 x 140 cm suits a narrow wall or a console, 90 x 180 cm a hallway end, 110 x 220 cm a high stairwell. Over a 200 cm sofa, take the landscape 150 x 75 cm.
The first photograph shows the painting upright on the floor of our workshop in an optional gold frame, and the second photograph shows the same canvas from the side, where the thick blue and green knife facets stand out. With YES under Stretcher the glowing peak arrives on a wooden stretcher, ready to hang; the gold frame of Summer Peak is extra, chosen in the Frame menu from Without frame. Delivery takes 15–45 days. The first photograph shows Summer Peak upright, leaning against the wall in the gold frame you can choose, and the second shows the thick blue and green facets from the side. When Summer Peak is finished, we send you a photograph of it to approve, then ship it.
Rolled, stretched or framed?
We ship Summer Peak the way you choose: rolled, stretched on a 2.5 cm deep wooden stretcher, or framed. Summer Peak is stretched and framed in our workshop in Slovenia. The gold frame in the first photograph strengthens the glow of the summit, while the stretched canvas without a frame looks more relaxed. For the tall sizes up to 180 x 360 cm a rolled parcel is the practical choice.
How should I hang and care for it?
On the upright Summer Peak, keep the waterfall at roughly eye level, about 150 cm from the floor, so the summit rises above your gaze. In a child’s room, hang Summer Peak away from the bed and out of reach of small hands. Clean the thick facets of colour with a soft dry brush, without water.
Is Summer Peak a good gift?
