Description
Colour Geometry – rounded and straight planes
A hard-edge composition in the Bauhaus spirit – rounded and straight colour planes locking into one another like a poster: a navy block with rounded corners is upper left over a cream band, a dark aubergine bar beside a red stripe, and a large pink sail-shape with a curved right edge fades at the top from rose to peach.
Technique & Texture
Across the centre spreads a large dark-brown rounded pill, and a two-tone light-blue block on the right has its lower right corner carved by a curve. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – the planes have clean edges, softened by the rounded semicircular elements.
The Motif
A large white field takes the lower right with a salmon square at the corner, a khaki-beige J-hook band is at the lower centre-left, a rust-chestnut rounded form behind it, and a red strip sparks along the bottom edge. Colour geometry in a mid-century spirit, where the sail and the pill meet in a strict yet playful order.
Styling & Placement
A lively canvas painting for living rooms, children’s rooms and offices; the colour planes delight, the geometry gives the room order. Wall art for lovers of modern design.

An upright Colour Geometry for narrower walls
Colour Geometry is an upright canvas in 15 sizes, from 40 x 55 to 200 x 279 cm. Its navy block, red stripe and pink sail come into their own on narrower walls, beside a cupboard or above a console. Over a 100 cm console or chest of drawers, 70 x 97 cm covers about two thirds of the width, a narrow wall between doors takes 50 x 69 or 60 x 83 cm, and 100 x 139 or 120 x 167 cm suits a stairwell with a high ceiling. In the photograph Colour Geometry hangs above a round dining table set with bowls, a bottle and glasses.
For Colour Geometry to arrive ready to hang, choose YES in the Stretcher menu and we stretch the canvas on a wooden stretcher. A frame is optional: for Colour Geometry the Frame menu starts at “Without frame”. Delivery takes 15–45 days. The clean-edged planes and semicircular forms are hand-painted, so Colour Geometry is not a print.
