Description

Play of Colours II – a whirl that pulls you into its core
A vortex of colour across the whole canvas: concentric brush circles spiral in toward a dark core set right of centre. From the outside in follow red-magenta corners, a broad teal-green band, a golden-yellow ring and a pink-red inner ring – then a deep violet-black centre edged with thin bright lines.
Technique & Texture
Each circle is pulled in one bold sweep, and at every border the colours genuinely flow into one another. This is a hand-painted work of art – thin white spiral threads are scratched across the rings, and a golden spray gathers where the bands overlap.
The Motif
The painting reads like a look into a chasm of colour: the eye travels inward along the circles until the core stops it – a dark point of calm amid the spinning. Because the core is off-centre, the composition is never static; the whirl seems to be still travelling.
Styling & Placement
A hypnotic painting for living rooms, children’s rooms and creative spaces. The square format gives it the weight of a standalone motif – it looks best alone on its own wall.
