Description

Spring and Night – three voices of one canvas
Three colour voices in one gradient: a peach-salmon pink enters at the left edge, strongest at the top and lower left, with pink drips, and melts toward the right into a large white impasto body that fills the centre of the canvas.
Technique & Texture
From the top enters a dark green mass of thick strokes across the upper centre and right, whose tail descends in an S curve down the white body’s right shoulder to mid-height. This is a hand-painted work of art – barely visible mint hints float in the white, traces of spring.
The Motif
The far right side, below the upper third, falls into a near-black column down to the bottom edge – the night of the title, the third voice standing beside the day – while the upper right corner stays light grey-white. From warm through white to dark: the painting walks a whole day in one stroke.
Styling & Placement
A poetic abstract painting for bedrooms, living rooms and offices; the warm left half ties it to light wood, and the dark edge gives it gravity and a frame.
