Technique & Texture
Every stroke is vertical, with stippled dry edges: teal sweeps accompany it at the left middle and upper right, umber-brown columns mix in at the left and right edges. This is a hand-painted art painting – the columns are drawn in a single pull from top to bottom.
The Motif
The lower corners sink into dark teal and near-black – forest floor that lets no light through – so the golden wedge at the centre reads like a ray that has forced its way in. Sun through a forest, caught in a vertical rhythm.
