Technique & Texture
The largest loop closes right of centre in the upper half, a second open loop is at the upper left, and the threads knot and cross most densely across the centre and lower centre. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – the strokes are raised cords with a real shadow, twine-like, and a few ends hang free.
The Motif
The field is a deep navy blue, softly cloud-mottled, with a lighter breath of light at the lower centre and the darkest edges. Botanical tendril shoots caught in a single pull – an organic drawing over a calm darkness.
