Dark Wave – one band over silver grey
One broad graphite-black wave-band rising diagonally from the lower left corner toward the upper right across a silver-grey speckled field, with gold flecks scattered along its body – quiet, nordic: the dark mass enters the lower left corner, narrows and lifts as it crosses, and its crest peaks at the centre.
Technique & Texture
The band’s tail runs off the right edge, its edges dry-brushed and fraying into the grey, and along the crest and upper flank a fine white spray is scattered. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – the gold flecks are like stardust, and within the dark a granular texture is felt.
The Motif
Gold flecks and splashes are scattered only along the band, densest at its centre, with a few outliers by the right tail and the top edge. The field is a silver-grey stucco, finely speckled, brighter above the band and mistier at the upper centre, where the crest exhales a grey haze.
