Silent Horizon – a raised seam in creamy white
An almost monochrome cream-white canvas with a single event: at a good sixty percent of the height, a slightly irregular, physically raised seam crosses the full width – not a drawn but a tangible line – and above it, like a bank of mist, clings a darker grey-brown shadow.
Technique & Texture
The surface is warm white plaster with beige cloud patches; the lower third is whiter and coarser, with scattered beige spots. This is a hand-painted work of art – the seam is a ridge in the material that throws a real shadow in side light.
The Motif
The upper corners are aged into grey-brown, like the eroded edge of an old wall, and along the bottom edge runs a dark speckled border. The painting depicts nothing, and that is exactly why it works: one horizon, one shadow, and all the remaining space is silence.

Silent Horizon is a landscape-format painting in 16 sizes, from 50 x 40 to 240 x 180 cm. Over a dining table or a 200 cm sofa, 130 x 100 or 140 x 105 cm sits well, about two thirds of the furniture’s width. Above a 150 cm sideboard pick 100 x 75 cm, in a hallway 70 x 50 or 80 x 60 cm, and for a large living-room wall 200 x 150 or 240 x 180 cm. YES under Stretcher means a wooden stretcher bar and a painting ready to hang, while a frame can be added from the Frame menu if you want one. We deliver it in 15–45 days.

Silent Horizon is hand-painted by our painters, layer by layer. First comes the warm plaster ground with its beige clouds, then the lower third with a coarser, whiter texture. The seam is built from material that stays raised above the surface, so it is an edge you can feel rather than a drawn line; the shadow above it and the aged edges in the top corners go on last. The second photograph shows exactly that relief close up. Because every seam is pulled by hand, each canvas has its own run of the line. You see the finished canvas before it leaves us: we first send you a photograph to approve.
Rolled, stretched or framed?
We ship Silent Horizon the way you choose: as a rolled canvas, stretched on a wooden stretcher bar, or framed. We stretch and frame it in our own workshop in Slovenia. With YES under Stretcher it arrives ready to hang; rolled makes sense if a local framer will finish it. Where should it hang, and how do I care for it?
Because the painting lives on side light, hang it where window or lamp light falls at an angle rather than straight on. The centre belongs at about 150 cm from the floor; above a bed or a dining table, leave 20 to 30 cm between the furniture and the bottom edge. Dust the relief only lightly with a dry soft cloth or brush, never water or cleaners, and keep it away from radiators and direct sun.
Is Silent Horizon a good gift?
Yes, because its neutral palette suits almost any home and the recipient does not have to change a room around it. The small 50 x 40 and 60 x 45 cm sizes work well as gifts, over a chest of drawers, on a shelf or in a hallway. If you do not know their wall, give a gift voucher and let them choose.
