Description
Golden Seam – one golden line and its knot
A pale blue-grey square cut by a single golden seam: a thin gold line enters at the left edge at a good third of the height – in the upper third of the canvas – runs horizontally and exits at the right edge at the same height. Along the way it comes alive.
Technique & Texture
Across the central three fifths of the width the seam swells into a broad golden relief knot with a crusted, cracked texture – the densest place of the painting. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – the gold is laid on physically and throws a real shadow in side light.
The Motif
From beneath the knot a warm golden haze seeps downward and fades into the blue-grey by two thirds of the height; above the seam the field is flat and calm, at the lower right gather soft grey clouds, and along the bottom edge tiny speckles and pale drip traces. Sky and earth – only the horizon hangs high.
Styling & Placement
Elegant wall art on canvas for bedrooms, living rooms and offices; the square format and a single golden stroke work luxuriously without loudness.

Golden Seam above a sofa, bed or sideboard
Golden Seam is painted in 14 square sizes, from 40 x 40 to 180 x 180 cm. Let the pale blue-grey square with its gold line take about two thirds of the furniture width: 140 x 140 cm over a 200 cm sofa, 110 x 110 or 120 x 120 cm above a bed 160–180 cm wide, 100 x 100 cm over a 150 cm sideboard, and 50 x 50 cm in a hallway.
The first photograph shows Golden Seam in a pale frame on a sunlit wall above a small table with a white cloth and dried flowers, and the second photograph shows it above a light wooden sideboard with a lamp and white peonies. Choose YES in the Stretcher menu so the blue-grey canvas with its golden knot arrives stretched on a wooden stretcher, ready to hang. A frame for Golden Seam is optional, and the Frame menu begins at Without frame. Delivery takes 15–45 days. The gold knot is hand-painted in cracked relief, so Golden Seam is not a print.
