Description

Blue Shadows – two ovals on cream plaster
Two soft blue-grey oval shadows breathing on warm cream plaster – nothing else, the quietest piece of the series: the large oval stands left of centre, nearly full height, gently tilted, its foot fading out at the bottom edge.
Technique & Texture
The second, smaller oval is cut by the upper right corner, only its lower left flank visible, and both have soft, breathed edges without any outline. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – a heavy plaster texture runs through both ovals, with drag-marks, pinholes and diagonal scuffs.
The Motif
The cream field warms toward the right and the bottom, and at the lower left barely visible pencil-fine scratches run. Clouds or imprints caught in silence – a composition that believes in the beauty of minimalism and emptiness.
Styling & Placement
A meditative painting on canvas for bedrooms, living rooms and offices; the blue ovals calm the eye, the cream plaster warms the room. Wall art for quiet, bright spaces.
