Description
Ambient V – A Collision of Red, Yellow, and Cobalt
The boldest painting of the Ambient series: the left half is taken up by a massive vivid red-orange mass, stacked from brick-like palette-knife slabs, while the upper right part darkens into a maroon-black zone – the same fiery family, but in shadow. Between them runs a dialogue of power.
Technique & Texture
The slabs of paint are laid like bricks, scratched and layered; the surface is raw and decisive. It is a hand-painted artistic painting – a wall of paint that can never be built the same way twice.
The Motif
Cool strikes hold the balance: groups of fractured cobalt blue blocks above black masses in the middle of the right half and at the lower right, vivid yellow bands along the far left edge, a yellow pillar in the dark upper right, and a yellow square in the blackness at the lower right. Along the bottom edge a green-black band with an orange patch grounds the composition.
Styling & Placement
Wall art for brave spaces – lofts, offices with an industrial character, modern living rooms with neutral furnishings that this fiery block gives a centre.
