Universe III – a glowing spiral in gold and red
The hot sister of Universe I: a concentric spiral carved with a palette knife, this time in the colours of embers. The luminous cream-gold core lies left of centre on the panoramic canvas, and at the very centre of the core rests a smooth, pearl-like knot – the still point around which everything turns.
Technique & Texture
Deeply incised knife ridges wind around the core: golden near the centre, orange across the middle of the canvas, and saturated red in the right third and the outer corners. This is a hand-painted work of art – the crests of the ridges catch white light and the grooves genuinely deepen into relief.
The Motif
The spiral works like a tunnel of warmth: from the pearl knot outward the colour swells like a glow, until at the edges it reaches dark bordeaux. The panoramic format stretches the rotation – the spiral doesn’t just circle the core, it travels across the wall.
